Oil and refined products are an area in which TECHNOEDIF has acquired vast experience, having developed extensive capabilities and solid knowledge over time, through the execution of several projects in the most varied refining units, namely: process, utilities, and storage units.
TECHNOEDIF develops a wide range of activities, which encompass all stages of a project, from conceptual design to the construction and start-up of a unit, such as trouble-shooting studies, energy optimization and technical feasibility, basic and detailed engineering, construction management, commissioning, and start-up.
TECHNOEDIF works closely with international licensors and in partnership with some of the world’s most recognized engineering companies. In these cooperations, the value of TECHNOEDIF was widely recognized due to the quality of the work developed, the strict compliance with deadlines and execution costs.
Refining is an area in which TECHNOEDIF has acquired vast experience over time, having developed extensive capabilities and solid knowledge, namely in many of the refining units, such as atmospheric distillation; vacuum distillation; visbreaking; diesel hydrotreatment; hydrotreating and fractionating naphtha; gas treatment with amine; catalytic reforming; treatment of LPG, gasoline and kerosene; FCC and gas concentration units.
TECHNOEDIF is thus able to develop a wide range of activities, covering all stages of a project, such as trouble-shooting studies, energy optimization and technical feasibility, basic and detail engineering, project and construction management, commissioning and start-up support both for revamp of existing facilities and for new units
Since its inception, TECHNOEDIF has developed projects in storage facilities for oil and its derivatives, from crude oil, LPG, white products (gasolines, diesel and jet), black products (bitumen and asphalt) and chemicals (chemical naphtha, aromatic, etc.).
TECHNOEDIF’s expertise in this type of facilities is wide and includes the preparation of conceptual studies and layout for new facilities, technical audits of existing installations, revamp studies for fire protection and firefighting systems to comply with current standards and legislation, radiation studies, projects for the revamp of existing tank facilities and design detailing of new tank facilities with all its auxiliary systems, such as odorization, additives, hot oil systems, among others
TECHNOEDIF also has extensive experience in liquid fuel filling facilities (white and black) and bulk LPG (tank cars and tank wagons) as well as LPG cylinder filling, either in studies, detailed engineering and EPC’s.
As highlights, the recent design of a storage facility for 100,000 m3 capacity for receiving, store and export white products and LPG, the expansion of a 13,000 m3 capacity bitumen plant and the revamp of the firefighting system of a storage facility for refinery products, with a capacity of 300,000 m3.
The petrochemical industry, in particular the olefins and derivatives area, is an area in which TECHNOEDIF has acquired vast experience, having developed vast capabilities and very solid knowledge over time, with the execution of several projects in the most varied process units, utilities and storage.
TECHNOEDIF executes activities ranging from trouble-shooting, energy optimization and feasibility studies to basic and detailed engineering, construction, commissioning and start-up.
TECHNOEDIF has worked extensively in close cooperation with TECHNIP and its capabilities for execution have been widely recognized due to the quality of the projects in strict compliance with deadlines and execution costs.
Petrochemical Expertise
Technoedif is the Portuguese engineering company with the most proven experience in the field of Petrochemical, namely in the areas of olefins and their derivatives, as well as in the polymers of polyethylene of high and low density.
In its curriculum is included the participation in most of all major projects executed in Portugal, either on their own or in cooperation with major international engineering companies, having executed various activities ranging from basic and detailed engineering to construction management and commissioning support.
The company’s experience is complemented by that of its specialists having participated in various international projects, integrating project teams from its former parent company.
Also, very relevant is the experience accumulated by the company in the elaboration of more than a thousand studies of trouble-shooting, of energy optimization, of performance improvements and of the safety conditions in several petrochemical units, in what we call “proximity engineering”.
Since the introduction of natural gas in Portugal, TECHNOEDIF has executed studies and projects in this sector.
The accumulated experience of the company and its technical staff, coupled with the methods and computer tools they have, put it at the highest level in terms of production quality.
This experience was acquired through the execution of studies and projects in Portugal, covering pipelines (primary networks, industrial branches, distribution networks), LNG storage, compression stations and PRMs.
It should be noted that this experience is enhanced by the participation of our project specialists, not only in Portugal but also abroad, by having integrated teams of large European engineering companies.
Natural Gas Experience
The company led a consortium that executed the preliminary study of about 700 km and the execution project of approximately 200 km of primary natural gas networks (DN100 to DN300 – maximum operating pressure 18 barg).
Basic and detailed projects were also executed for 10 industrial branches, starting at the primary network. This also included engineering follow-up during the construction phase.
Worth mentioning the participation in the execution of the detailed engineering of the LNG storage terminal in Sines and the underground storage facilities in saline formations in Carriço.
Also worth mentioning the execution of several projects of tertiary networks in various subdivisions and house developments and for the distribution network of the municipality of Cascais
